Under the basic anesthesia of 1000 mg/kg Urethane, additional injections of Urethane (each dose: 500 mg/kg) showed an increase of the b-wave amplitude. The degree of the increase was 60 to 70% of the initial value, even after a total dose of 2000 mg/kg. 7 log units after two additional doses of Urethane (see Fig. 7). Under the same conditions as above, the oscillatory potentials increased in amplitude. The increase of the 0 1 amplitude was four times the initial value; that of O2 ,however, was less than half (Fig.
1983) and Lawwill (1972). In rabbits (R 7-8) with a copper particle in the left eye, iontophoresis with zinc was applied. The iontophoresis treatment was done as follows: a piece of cotton was soaked with prepared zinc glucontate solution (in 100 ml distilled water 10 mg of zinc glucontate was dissolved). The soaked cotton was placed on an electrode which was affixed to the cornea of left eye. The other end of the electrode was connected to the positive pole of the apparatus. The negative pole was applied by means of a silver needle on the back of the animal's head.
